Here is a question for RN’s and ultrasound techs…. I have a tilted/ and believe it is retroverted (not antiverted) uterus. My first pregnancy ultrasound showed nothing but a gestational sac at 10weeks. I am going for a second at 11.5ish weeks according to accurate last menstrual cycle date, 28 day cycle (which is pretty consistent for me), ovulation date, date of sex most accurate with the ovulation date (2.xxx -3ish days before), missed period, and first positive pregnancy test dates, etc.
My hCG levels are at 33,000. So, here is my question as the ultrasound showed not much of anything.
When working with retroverted or tilted uteri, what things are you as a tech or RN mindful of or what tips would you suggest to tech who has not had as much experience in effectively seeing and identifying inside the uterus. What techniques help to get the fullest view?
Thanks.

I think it depends on the machine/scanner that is being used. Just tell your tech about your history and he or she will probably be able to make the needed adjustments.
